What People Say

  • Dear Mr Alfieri, et al,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you, your staff and the entire school team for all of your fantastic and endless hard work over the last few months.
You have all gone above and beyond what is expected of yourselves as individuals, teachers and as a school and we as a family wanted to let you know how much it is deeply appreciated.
The standard of work provided for both boys for home learning has been high quality, exciting and good fun. It’s really sparked both boys’ imagination and we’ve really enjoyed doing it. Obviously, every day wasn’t particularly successful! But we appreciated the school being lenient when not every day was a good day!
Having trained as a Primary teacher myself I am acutely aware how it is a vocation rather than a job and how all of the effort you all put in is because you love your jobs and working with our children. For that we are eternally grateful.
I am also aware of the long hours you all work, early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays and how a teacher’s job is never done!
We were also absolutely thrilled with the boys’ reports and think they encapsulated them perfectly!
So a big thank you to all of you, all your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and we wanted to let you all know how much it’s appreciated.
    Best wishes,

    Parent

  • Teachers are skilled and enthusiastic. They have good subject knowledge and ask questions which probe and promote pupils’ thinking. Pupils work well together and share their ideas confidently. Teachers actively promote independence and resilience, so pupils persevere in their learning.

  • Our teachers at St Nicholas are really kind. They look after us and they know a lot too! My teacher helps me when I find things tricky and they are really good at explaining things so that I understand. They really want us to learn and remember things. I love St Nichs!
