Home – School 
Agreement/Commitment

 

 

       The school will:

 

  • Encourage children to do their best at all times
  • Encourage children to take care of their surroundings and others around them, according to the relevant policies
  • Inform parents of their children's progress at regular meetings, in addition to the information contained in the annual report
  • Let parents know about any concerns that affect their child's work or behaviour
  • Contact parents if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality or equipment
  • Set, mark and monitor targets and homework appropriate for the individual child
  • Inform parents about school activities through a school handbook, regular letters or emails, newsletters and notices of special events
  • Prepare children for the transition to secondary school
  • Provide a high quality education with caring, Christian values
  • Provide a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Provide a creative, personalised curriculum to meet each child’s individual needs and abilities
  • Give clear guidelines on correct uniform and encourage pupils to wear it

 

      Parents/carers are asked to:

 

  • Ensure your child gets to school on time correctly dressed and properly equipped
  • Ensure your child attends regularly and you provide a note of explanation if absence is necessary
  • Come to parent evenings to discuss your child’s progress
  • Whenever possible, attend assembly and other activities, when your child is involved
  • Support your child in homework and other opportunities for home learning
  • Encourage your child to do their best at all times, encouraging them to achieve the targets set for them
  • Get to know about your child’s life at the school – including permission for your child to undertake educational off-site activities during curriculum time
  • Let the school know (by contacting the class teacher in the first instance) if you have any concerns or problems that might affect your child’s work or behaviour
  • Support the school’s policies and specifically the guidelines for behaviour, discipline, uniform, medicines in school, health and safety
  • Discuss this Home School Agreement with your child and return it signed to their class teacher

 


Children are asked to:

 

  •    Show commitment to N.I.C.E. Learning / Behaviour 
  •    Do all class work and homework as well as they can 
  •    Wear our school uniform
  •    Ask for help if they need it 
  •    Not bring valuable possessions to school unless arranged with the class teacher (e.g. musical instruments)
