Our relatively young team had a fantastic time at the third Chase Bridge International Tag Rugby Tournament. We travelled down to Twickenham and had a tour of the stadium, were welcomed, entertained and played games in the Live Room before meeting our hosting families and leaving our coaches for the night. Friday morning was warm and sunny. We were coached by RFU coaches before playing our pool games. We gave good account of ourselves playing against Year 6 teams. we met Harlequins players over a lunch provided by Harlequins in the players' lounge. We went bowling or to the cinema with our hosting families that night. On Saturday we played in the finals and played our best rugby of the whole tour. After lunch with our hosts we attended the Harlequins v Gloucester Premiership game and very proudly walked round the pitch at half time in out Tiger's jackets. We did not really want to leave, but a stop at KFC on the return journey kept our spirits up, before we returned happy but tired to meet our parents at school.
We are so grateful to Leicester Tigers for their support and to all parents and friends who were so generous. special thanks to Kev and to Trevor who coach us so well.
