Easter Holiday Fun

Welcome to Mr Bates' PE Challenge: Easter Edition

Week 1

For the first week of Easter, we are focussing on target finding; identifying a target and hitting it.

Below are two clips, each showing a particular challenge:

Challenge 1- This challenge is about identifying what the target is and considering a series of factors such as: What does it look like? How big is it? Will it be easy to reach?

Don't forget, we're always looking to apply our STEP (space, task, equipment, people) principle to our challenges to making them harder or easier.

Challenge 2- This challenge is all about creativity. Refrering to STEP, you might like to change the ball you use, your starting position, how you move the ball, introduce obstacles etc; all the while, the target stays in the same position.

The aim of both of these tasks is to see how few shots/rolls it will take you to reach the target. One idea could be to set up a scorecard and play a round of golf, seeing how many shots it will take to complete each hole

Please make sure you share your attempts with me on Class Dojo!

Good Luck!

Week 2

For the second week of Easter, we are going to focus on physical challenges; trying to beat our personal best. These physical challenges have been provided by the Youth Sport Trust and will enable us to apply skills and components of fitness to achieve our goals.
