HMS Heroes

At St Nicholas School we are in the initial stages of setting up a HMS Heroes Group to support our Military families in school. When parents are serving overseas or away from the family home for extended periods of time we understand the challenges that face families. We have set up this group to allow pupils to both share their experiences, and share tips for coping with tricky times. Pupils within our school support each other but they are also able to connect with other young people from military families in other Rutland schools and also further afield.

Staff support our pupils to send e-blueys and connect with their family members through the Reading Force programme too.

Watch this space to see how this initiative develops and keep checking back for useful links and information.

Exciting Heroes Club News: On the 29th November our Y1-Y3 Heroes Club members have been invited to a Pantomime (Aladdin) at Cottesmore Millfield Academy at Kendrew Barracks provided by a Services Charity! Mrs Lyons and Mrs Wallace will be transporting the children in the minibuses - it will be 1.30-3.10pm including a 20 minute interval. How exciting!
