Term 6 - Week 2: Newspaper Sculptures

Thanks for checking out my Art Enrichment for this week! We are going to continue our theme of sculptures and look at how we can make some really interesting creations out of newspaper or old magazines that you may have at home!

Newpapers are generally made of very thin paper so you may think they are not suitable for making scultptures but actually if you take a sheet of newspaper and fold it into as smaller piece and then roll it up ... it becomes very sturdy indeed!

Once you have made some rolls of newspaper, you can then arrange them into some very interesting sculptures securing them together with masking tape, cellotape or strips of glued paper. I have included some ideas to get you started at the bottom of this page!

Don't forget to take a photo of your sculptures and send it to me on Dojo... I love to see what you get up. Have fun! Mrs Morton
