We so enjoyed our mini-topic on ladybirds and had so much fun with our activities in all areas of our learning. A particular favourite activity of the children was our ladybird hunt in the school grounds. We hid a number of symmetrical and non-symmetrical ladybirds outside which the children had to find. They then had to keep a tally on their clipboards to decide how many were symmetrical and how many were not! They did brilliantly and really demonstrated their understanding of this mathematical concept. Here are some photos of just some of the other ladybird activities we enjoyed!
