We are so thrilled to hear from you how much our children are enjoying their visits to the school ICT suite! We are so fortunate to have a designated computer room in addition to our laptops and interactive whiteboard in the classroom. Class 1 enjoy regular trips to the ICT suite where they are introduced to new software and are taught specific skills which they can apply to their independent learning throughout the week. This week we have been looking at the artist 'Piet Mondrian' and recreating our own works of art using the Mondrian style. The children were shown how to use a paint program to create their own lines and used the fill tool to 'paint' blocks of colour. The whole process required a great deal of mouse control and concentration but the children were amazing and we think you will be impressed with the results...we certainly were. Have a look at their masterpieces below (if you hover your mouse over each picture the artist's name should appear).
