Our love of Julia Donaldson stories continued following our visit to the theatre (at the beginning of this term) and our reading of her book 'The snail and the whale' inspired our work on snails! Charlotte brought a snail in to school one morning and we decided to host 'the great snail race' although finding willing participants proved to be a mighty challenge during the hot spell of weather...not a single snail could be found on our hunt of the school grounds! Our grateful thanks to all of you who came to our rescue and gave up their precious time to find and donate snails from your gardens! Above and beyond the call of duty!
